PlexiDor Sliding Track: Features and Benefits
PlexiDors size Medium, Large, and Extra Large are delivered with a steel security plate, as standard, that screws onto the interior frame. The plate is a great tool for securing the home, and for signaling to pets that the door is locked. The Sliding Tracks are an optional extra accessory. Using the Sliding Tracks, it takes seconds to mount the plate.
Simply attach the left and right tracks to the interior frame, and slide the steel security plate down the track into place. The tracks attach to the PlexiDor interior frame using just a screw driver, and the security plate slides down to its optimal position.
Secure the plate with the handy flip lock feature at the top and you are finished. The tracks are made of strong and durable aluminium, and they’re available in Silver, White, or Bronze, to match your PlexiDor, in sizes Medium, Large or Extra Large.
Hardware for track installation is included, but not the security plate itself, though this is included with all Medium, Large and Extra Large PlexiDors.

*The security plate slides upwards when being removed from the Sliding Tracks so it is important to ensure that you have enough clearance above your PlexiDor for this, espcially if fitting in a wall under a shelf or cabinets.
NOTE – PlexiDors manufactured before 2008 have a very slightly wider security plate, which will not fit into the PlexiDor Sliding Tracks. Customers with PlexiDors purchased around 2008 may find that their doors have the larger plate so please call 01241 830421 to confirm which plate you have. We will ask for the width measurement of your existing plate to confirm whether it will fit the tracks or not. If your existing security plate is too wide, we can supply a new one that will fit the PlexiDor Sliding Tracks.
